HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) –
After coming back from a five-run deficit to defeat Louisiana-Lafayette in walk-off fashion on Tuesday, Southern Miss came up short of a second straight comeback.
The Ragin’ Cajuns jumped out to a 6-1 lead before eventually defeating the Golden Eagles 7-4 on Wednesday night.
Southern Miss drops to 20-8 on the season and will host Western Kentucky in a three-game series beginning Friday at 6 p.m.
